A father shares his thoughts and feelings about having two heroin addicted sons and the impact it has had on his life. He also shares his experience with having a family member who is mentally ill. This is a video about real people who have real problems or issues but it is also a video about hope and promise when people change.

  2. My sons are mentally ill and one is addicted. My husband is suffering immensely with guilt and both he and I have all but given up hope. We know the joy you speak of, as we take moments daily. The pain can be overwhelming though. I am so pleased to have watched your video. Let there be hope… let there be love…

  6. Hey Harold. Trust me, your not the only one with the goal on YouTube to help people. I too attempt to change the lives of others. I have had people say to me they want to kill themselves. Everytime they do, thy never g through with it. Secondly, all i know about the “mentally ill” part of the video is people thinking i’m mentally ill. ADD stereotypes. Awesome video, dude. You rock.
    Have an awesome day

  10. Thank You. A person can not change what they do not acknowledge. By being honest and open it has transformed not only my relationship with my sons and friends, it has also transformed me. Thanks for taking the time to post your comments and thoughts. Take care! Harold

  14. Hi Richard. Thanks for your comment post. I am just being real so that people can get a feel for what motivates me to help others. “To whom much is given much is required.” I feel like much has been given to me so I want to do much to help others and pay it forward. Josh Turner is awesome and I love his music. I ask people to send me their poems, thoughts, songs or whatever so I can enjoy them – and share them with others if they want me to. Thanks! Take care! Harold

  20. The problem is, that your generation simply follows everything society tells you to. The youth does not want to follow these rules and thinkers idea’s, so they use some stuff to easely get out of society’s world, the only way they know! They do not use your drugs(coffee and sigarets, because it is not working for this) If they have to fight with example parents and society, they use a lot more of that stuff, there is the core. stop thinking to much and follow your inner path of the 1001 feelings!
