Sub has a ceiling effect so anything past 2-4mg a day past the initial withdrawl phase is pointless it is not aking a difference.

You feel great on sub (most do) but wait until you get off. This is no miracle drug and docs are getting rich while addicts suffer. It harm reduction and most would be better on low dose methadone

I dont know what your qualifacations. No one should start suboxone unless they are already addicted to opiods. You will not get more addicted by using suboxone Wich is an opiod. If you are not addicted it only takes 4-5 days as little as 5 mg to become addicted. 160 mg to someone who has no tolerance is probably lethal . 240mg is lethal if you have no tolerance. Slow withdrawal is the best. Too fast = relaspse.
I advise people to learn more about Suboxone from a better source.

And your doc is an asshole. Target range is 8-16 mg per day -/+ 4mgs. No one should need more than a 12week program to taper off. Most should be able to do it in 4-6weeks. The longer you are on the harder it will be to get off. With doses 8mg and lower you have a better chance with 24-32mg ranges for over a few weeks will make you addicted to suboxone.
Remember how long it takes to get addicted to oxy? 3-4weeks of a good high dose(160-240mg) and withdrawls will set in. GET OFF ASAP!

Hi there, I take two 8 mg sub a day and have been since June 13th 2008. I do not feel really good; I preferred methadone but do not want to drive to clinic. I wondered how u were doing with it. rachel

I just started on Suboxone and My Doctor told me 32 mg is max per day. you should be able to quit 2 mg per day. You are no expert.

DUDE ! 24mgs/day of Suboxone is way to much especially for the amount of opiates you were using. Besides, the max recommended prescribed dose is 16mgs a day. I hope you have insurance, do you ? Do they pay for the Suboxone? I’ve been on the shit for 6 years and was never scribed more than 8mgs/day. The lowest I got down to was 2mgs/day.
About Itslukeyo’s comment, the recommended ween off regimen is: 2mgs less x 2 weeks. Not 2mgs less x 1 day then 2 mgs x 1 day again till it’s gone.

the hard parts done man , word of advive all you need is 8mg today 6mg next day 4 the next 2mg the next then stop , saboxone is a bitch to get off , it is best used in short periods of time , go to meetings that will get you through the mental , good luck
