  2. I agree with damn near all of what you are saying…and I even have a page about this very subject on my blog. However, you must not have watched my video. I am currently a Methadone patient. I didnt kick, just switched my addiction from heroin to Methadone.

  4. or alcoholics and whatnot. if the government treated anorexics and obese people & self-harmers like they treat us it would be a bloody outrage! if you have money you can get into a cushty rehab and TRY to change. you should know withdrawing is NOTORIOUSLY almost neigh-on IMPOSSIBLE. how did you do it? im sure you have a better chance getting clean in a rehab than at home in the same environment you are used to, your city where you score and the home you used to use in.

  6. he has access to the best treatment, i do not get a dime of it when it comes to addiction. just out of curiosity, how did you overcome yours? did you just kick it at home? did you IV it? i smoked it for the first 7 months or so but progressed to injecting which has left me with collapsed veins, a blood clot and abcesses that have led to blood poisoning and overdoses that have put me in a coma and caused cardiac arrest. but still, i do it to myself and dont deserve help. why should ED cases then?

  8. i have asked for rehab with in my experience, the only people who get it are in their 30s or 40s and have been heroin addicts for years and prove to be beyond help. i have been a addict for over 6 years but apparently dont warrant help. i know it doesnt matter how much money you have, if you are depressed you are depressed. it wont help you if you are hellbent on staying a heroin addict. but lets put me up against him. he has millions, i dont. who is going to beat a heroin addiction, me or him?

  10. excuse me, that isn’t my attitude. i am desperate to get better and i keep appyling to state-based rehabs (i dont have the £5,000+ plus a week fees). my mum has worked as a nurse for the NHS for over 35 years and even she admits it is a very choice few who get help when it comes to heroin addiction. all i get is a methadone prescription at my appointment every two weeks which is a maximum of 15minutes. basically, they are just maintaining us on methadone and not offering anybody rehabilitation

  14. of course he overcame it… he had shit loads of money for the best treatment in the world! id overcome my heroin addiction of 6 years if i had access those funds but like education, healthcare is just like a supermarket- the rich get the best and the poor can have whatever is left over! which aint very much!

  18. Dont fool yourself. The abuse potential for Methadone is just the same. It gets you fucked up. Thats what people care about. The clinic was not my first time doing Methadone, and that is how it usually goes.

You are not the only one out there who has information. Just so happens my information also comes from EXPERIENCE as well as research and I am not fooled by what is written all of the time.

  20. Methadone certainly produces euphoria in those not tolerant. For the first two weeks of my treatment I was getting fucked up and I thought “Wow….this is gonna be awesome!” Then when my dose was stabilized, it was like I was stone sober. And thats how its been since.

You are talking to me as if you are the ONLY one out there who knows ANYTHING and heaven forbid, me, a”newbie” know anything.

  24. you have to find a methadone maintenence center or treatment center,,most regular doctors wont prescribe it for addicts out of thier office,,if you didnt want to go to a MMT clinic,,you should check into SUBOXONE (DOT)COM,,it is different and a lot of regular doctors can prescribe it,,there is a limit to how many patients they can have though so it may be hard to find a doctor at first ,,but it is comparable to methadone in that it helps a lot,,one plus is it is given at home via precscription

  26. confused about what,,you said you got fucked up.. methadone doesnt produce euphoria it is an opiate agonis it has completely different pharmacological properties. Methadone is long acting, it produces sedation but not euphoria (some people confuse sedation with euphoria but you will not have opium dreams taking methadone that is euphoria) and the potential for abuse is low compared to other psychotropic drugs..but i wasnt faulting you i hope you do good,,gettin clean is hard as hell even on mmt

  30. To bjf2008: I’m happy to hear things are working out for you. It’s wonderful that methadone assisted treatment is available for those of us who want to live productive and law-abiding lives but just can’t seem stop relapsing when we try to stay drug free. Life was hell before methadone came into the picture.

  32. i was never fucked up as you say im on 150 mg..and i feel better than i ever have atleast better than after i got on drugs,,,the only time methadone produces any feelings other than normal is if you are mixing it with other shit like xanax or valium,,alcohol,,,do some research methadone doestn produce euphoria if you thinkn your gettin fucked up on it then its in your head,,,im 8 years in so im not a newbie

  34. yep i know what u mean,,im 8 years in now,,i was 15 years into opiates tho..so it will take awhile ,,but my original goal when i started methadone maintenance was 1year,,hahaha yea that didnt work out to good but if it takes forever its still better than how i was living before

  36. Well, at the clinic here..people are tested once a week (or more in some cases) so..doing other drugs really isnt an option. I have never been a drinker…but..thanks.

  38. Methadone can be the first step in recovery or it can be a holding pattern. The only way to succed in methadone tx is to do no other drugs and booze and change bad junkie habits, like stealing and lying. all the best

  46. You sound like me when I first got on methadone 28 years ago. Keep up the enthusiasm. I hope you are able to detox in six months to a year, but don’t look down on yourself if you can’t. Six months was my original plan. Please be careful about your wording. People who hate methadone will twist your words around and use them against you. Good luck! Thanks for being brave enough to post your face behind your comments!

  48. Hi,
You may want to try and find a Methadone clinic in your area and go to them, I am sure they will help you out and put you on Methadone. If youd like to PM me, please do so!

  50. what the hell does someone do that does want to do the methadone treatment and is totally honest with their doctors and they dont want to give it!!!? I never took narcotics till after a car wreck in 2001. Lorcet is all they give me. They havent worked for 3 years. I illegally trade them and try to get them to switch me but they wont! I have a lot of pain from broken back, 13 broken ribs, broke hip, 2 strokes, blockage in my brain now and I just turned 38. I was never a drug addict, till now.
