  4. i have tried suboxone and she is talking it up, but the fact is u will get sick from the suboxone once you quit. I was an IV herion user for 6 years tried methadone and suboxone its just an excuse, the only way to be really sober is to never use anything which is the path i choose, i have a real 2 years sober, to anyone who watches this, do not do suboxone maintence, its ok for detox no more than 6 days but dont use it more than that cuz u will eventually pay for it and be very sick from it

  6. I don’t even wanna hear this. I have a very bad habbit of shooting up oxycodone 30mg (roxy’s) and oc 80′s. I’ve had this addiction for the past 4 years now. Ive weened myself down, didn’t work, suboxone didn’t work, methadone (my aunt has been on it for 20 years and she is fucked in the head) did it for a week and said fuck this. If you are addicted to opiates its the hardest thing to let go of…dont substitute suboxone just get dead sober. Smoke mad weed.

  8. u wont get in trouble. i take it u were using oxys. thats not a real high habit u had but bad enuff. it shouldnt take u too long to stabilize on methadone.
dont stay on it too long maybe a year and then get off. it;s toxic shit. jsut use it as a tool and get off the pills. methadone will turn you into a lazy zombie. use it for the right reasons. you’re young man. do you really want to be chained to a meth clinic for the rest of yer life. you prob stabilize at 40 or 50. dont go too high

  18. sub isn’t getting at the core of your addiction, it just let’s you not crave and not be sick like methadone. Meeting sare more getting at something related to your core addiction but no drug can do that.

  22. congrats!!!! I have been struggling with pain killers for many years. I have been in and out of rehabs and jails for years! This year on march the secound i discovered many things. I found my higher power and realized that the only way you can get sober is if you do it for yourself! It takes a big person to look at there problems head on and deal with them. I am so happy that I have a daily repreve ( N.A. Meetings ) The people in this fellowship save my life everyday!

  24. I am well aware I will be a opiate addict the rest of my life. I am very educated on the whole process.Everything is definitly NOT the same, I am not spending all my $ on drugs, & it is not the first thing I think of when my feet hit the floor in the AM. Subs are helping me get to the core of my addiction, I am tapering and doing well. There is a reason at meetings we say “hi I am ___ and I am an addict/alcaholic.” because we are and always will be. It’s our behavior we must change.

  26. Honey, I really say this with hesitancy so please do not think it is to underscore your progress, but you are STILL an opiate addict. The only difference is that you don’t feel “high” – everything else is the exact same. Buprenorphine is incredibly potent, and your brain is in no way “cleaner” now than it was when you were taking whatever other opiates. Sorry – just being the voice of reality. My advice taper it asap!

  28. I hear that, being faded on dones is freakin scary especially when you are driving, thats when it got to me the most. I dreaded driving, I ALWAYS felt like I was going to fall asleep. Dones are NOT safe in my book and the Government just wants to keep us high and reap the benefits. I thought Methadone was a far better drug than anything I was on to begin with, and it was supposed to get me off opiates?? Whatev

  30. I am still doing really well. I am glad to hear that you have maintained ur sobriety. I have had a few chances to help fellow addicts and that by far is the coolest thing about this whole thing.

  32. I was prescibed to methadone for 5 years for chronic pain from arthritis and scoliosis and tmj. I was on 60 mg a day, before that I was on ms contin and fentenyl patches. and all the pills were free cause my insurance covered methadone.ive been on suboxne for 2 years now and havnt relasped once.methadone is so different than suboxone cause you cant get high off suboxone. methadone will have you noddin off and droolin and shit. so yea suboxone is great cuz it saved me from sleeping my, life away

  36. Very glad to hear you’re doin so good..Jusst wanted to let you know i’ve been on Suboxone for over a year now, and have not used/screwed up once. The only change that happened with me and others i’ve talked to is a lesser “buzzed”/energetic feeling. That feeling helps alot in the early phases, but it does diminish, and i’ve seen a few go back when it did so..but it is still a great help to me. Just remember to stay IN recovery. Old friends and places will just take us out…Keep it UP!

  40. this is so great! welcome back. I’m so happy for you. Opioid dependancy is such a nightmare that when somthing like suboxone or methadone works for someone it is almost like it was sent from god him/herself.
