(continued)—over 2 years of almost daily use of pain pills, never taking the recommended dose, withdrawing several times, longest was 2 1/2 weeks. Maybe doc will say that I don’t need subs because I am not a hardcore addict…I could prove that wrong…I cannot stop thinking about opiates, and I am depressed without them…I have started vitamins every day, about a month ago. We’ll see…
You sound EXACTLY like me…but on pain pills…
I was sober for 5 1/2 years (AA), never having done opiates before (snorted heroin once…). Alcohol was the main deal. Then I tried feorinal (sp?), butabitol—’twas okay…went to dentist for abscessed tooth, had vics, liked them, then back probs, vics, ultram, tramadol, then back surgery, oxy, percs (40 a day a few times…eeek), now nothing, except what I can “acquire”, which is where I am starting to be. I am seeing a suboxone doc today…
I was totally obssessed too.
I totally understand where you care coming from. You are right. Subs are fantastic for people going through what you are. I am equally proud of you for doing what you know is right. Everyone is different. I also believe everyone’s day will come. You too will be able to do it without opiates. Don’t give up, and keep fighting day by day. Thanks for your video. Keep in touch, Peace, Tad
