    3. Some ppl do fine on 40ml drop in a week and even more! Everyone is different. Also, NEVER refer to the drug in ml’s. Because you can have 1mg/ml or 10mg/ml, or as in Sweden, 5mg/ml. Always use MILIGRAMS when referring to doses! NOT MILLILITERS!
    How can your friend get take homes of methadone, and then smoke crack and shoot up without them drug testing him and stopping his methadone? He must be in a stupid program. Here in Sweden they do it right. 3 drug tests each week…that is 12 per month!

    4. I’m in England and I know people who are on 150ml but that is the highest script I have heard of personally.
    (but for all I know there may be some people who are prescribed more)
    The withdraw from methadone is horrible!
    the symptoms seem to be more acute and it’s a longer and more drawn out Kluck.
    Theres no easy way to tackle it but the most sensible way is to do it slowley and systematically!

    5. 40 ml to nothing in a week is cruel!
    You are almost destined to fail!
    It would even be difficult to do it in a month!
    I would suggest dropping 5 ml the first week then 3ml the next – then (as you said) stick to 2ml drops!
    It may take longer but at least it would give you a better chance of ultimately stopping and the time will allow you to mentally adjust to the drops.
    Forcing people to drop 40 ml in a week seems like a cynical ploy by the companys who benifit from keeping people on methadone!

    7. people are on those amounts in the uk, my friend picks up one week take homes of 200mls per day – 1400mls each pickup xD he sells most of it though and mostly smokes crack and shoots maybe a 10 bag of b each day.

    he had to go to hospital a few months a go and was given his 200mls daily dose, another friend went to see him on the 3rd day and said he was so out of it he couldn’t talk lol.

    12. 200 even 300mgs. wow, i dont think they would do that in england, uk. i know people on 100 though. personally i am down to 40. i detoxed once off methadone and it is horrible. i dont know why methadone is used in “treatment” as you see, most people just use on top. do what switzerland do and prescribe addicts heroin in the form of diamorphine hyrdrachloride. it would make sense but dont think many americans would ever allow it. It is so sad watching this; countless lives destroyed for good.

    19. im on 80mgs but the strength of the methadone is 5mgs…does that make sence? 4mgs of suby is a very low dose…my friends are on 14mgs of suby and they still use junk…well most of them do.

    23. iv already dropped down to 80mgs of methadone….i havent used since iv been on it and thats been almost 14 months now.
    All my friends are on suboxone and they still use heroin and oxys….methadone has worked for me, im no longer a slave to the needle.
    ppl can say what they like about methadone but it wont change my opinion, it saved my life and i lmfao at ppl that say its just like being a junkie, its COMPLETLY different.

    24. in my opinion anything over 50mgs is pushing the limit , 100 is fairly high but i guess it depends on how strong the gear is and it would vary.
    im on suboxone 4mg. ive been on methodone and buep before it’s hard to fully stay clean 100%.
