  2. Methadone is cheap, has a long half-life therefore making it an obvious choice for maintenance treatment but it’s a very potent synthetic opioid and the withdrawal symptoms are much much harder and prolonged than the ones from a Heroin detox.
    Methadone may help someone to function in daily life but it limits a person much more than Heroin on the emotional, mental, physical and spiritual level imo. My sex drive went from like 20% on Heroin to Zero, I felt totally numb, like a walking Zombie.

  4. life after addiction feels like others are continuing a punishment rather than helping…these are people not cattle they’ve already lost a big part of their life,they have the right to get the help they need without being treat like a criminal…weekly pickups are the way forward!
